I played early on career at Exxon, get off the dog, Crew would buy beer at 7-11, never was good, but liked the betting and bullshit, our Mayor an Alcoholic lived by the course and was always there, we always brought him a 6 pack, fast forward to my twin son, worked as a cook in country club, pro there saw potential and started teaching him, he also worked in Pro shop. His mentor said he could probably try the tour circuit, he was small, wiry very athletic, never happened. Still plays but his career is as a Surgery Tech. Fast forward to present day, our little country club got sold, before the pandemic was going to pay for lessons for wife, she’s strong as a Bull, athletic and always has something to do, keep her off my ass with honey dos. But that’s not an option now. Golf should be fun, this comeing from a non golfer. I enjoy watching the tournaments on TV lowers my heart rate from all the bullshit on TV. GO HOOSIERMAN enjoy yourself that’s what it’s about.

I knew there was a reason I don't bother to smoke in public anywhere, not a decision, just a habit. Actually, this scenario is one of the more pleasant and civil instances of anti-smoking complaints. People tried to accommodate each other, and that's a lot. There are anti-smoking zealots, who just like the moral high ground and dominating others. There are people who just emotionally react to smoking; it sets them off. And there are people who are asthmatic, chemically sensitive, with COPD, or respiratory and/or heart conditions who really can't breathe well around smoke. This old guy could be brave in trying to golf with some awful condition. But who knows? Anyway, congrats on dealing with the situation as best possible. I'm not much of a Jean Paul Sartre fan, but one line he had, not a mantra, but sometimes so true: Hell is other people.
