I only grow a beard in the winter and never let it get very long. The only thing I hate more than shaving is having an itchy beard. For some strange reason, I can't sleep well with a beard.
I also have lots of red hair in my beard, ranging from bright orange to more of an auburn. Overall, my hair is brown and I have much more grey in my beard than my head. I've had grey hair since I was 17.
