That's what I'M talking about, though, I see another post cosmicfolklore slipped in before my response.

I read that Lane is a subsidiary of Scandiavian...now, and there will likely be more swallowed up by this behemoth of a tobacco company.

I'll go with McClelland, as I'm primarily a VA fan. But as buroak noted, they've also got the only (semi-)aromatics I enjoy as well as some oriental offerings. Heck, I've only tried a tiny fraction of what McC produces - beyond the well-known Craftsbury and brown/green/black tins, they still have a ton of other blends that look great.

Esoterica all the way. Though I would miss me some Luxury Flake that's for sure.

I'd have to recuse myself, as I have not yet tried enough tobaccos to honestly choose a single blender's product over another's.

I don't usually comment on hypothetical situation questions but this one kinda hit a nerve. It would have to be Dunhill. Not because Dunhill is the best or most known... But because I couldn't do without my morning tobacco. I could smoke it all day if it was all I could get. I buy tins by the dozens and enjoy dating them, storing them and showing them off. But I get Dunhill Early Morning Pipe in bulk, most likely close to a pound and a half a month or so. It's funny that's it's called EMP, but that IS my morning smoke, and I smoke it til noon or so. Couldn't do without it....

Hmm. In the spirit of the OP I can go with a single blender. I pick Russ. He has great examples of every type of tobacco AND matches for the current and past greats. Also as sort of a cheat, he now is the blender for the SPC Mississippi River and Plum Pudding.
Ding ding, we have a winner

Another company not mentioned but worthy of a lifetime choice is Dan tobacco. Midnight ride, Gordon Pym, Bill Bailey's Balkan, Blue note, Devil's Holiday, Hamborger Veermaster, Sweet Honeydew, and Treasures of Ireland Limerick. Plenty of variety for a lifetime supply of quality leaf.

R.L. Will also blends Brigham's Klondike Gold and Hudson's Bay which are two of my favorites.

This was an easy decision for me. McClelland. I can even go one step further and narrow it down to one blend if I had to go that route. Bulk No.2015 Virginia Perique Flake. That blend hits me like no other. I can smoke it all day, every day, every week, every month and every year for the rest of my life. The rest of their offerings are an added bonus though.

I did not know that. That puts those blends in a totally different light.

My parents bought a Waring blender back in 1958 and it is still going great guns.

So, I'd have to say Waring as my favorite blender.

The Waring is a fine machine with a solid reputation and good history. It's my number 2 choice with no 3 being a super hot ex gf who, while not a great cook, could mix with the best of them.

I already have a lifetime supply so I would tell the dude to stick it. If that weren't the case though, it would be a toss-up between GL Pease and RL Will.

The metal one is in the garage somewhere waiting for me to repair it. It's been waiting a while. So long that my wife replaced it some years ago. Now I'm feeling guilty. Maybe I'll get to it this year. A new cord is all it needs. Damn the kid's gerbils!
