If I were limited to one tobacco, I wouldn't smoke often, I don't think, and then probably something like Tabac-Manil Semois. Perhaps some domestic burley single leaf or blend. However, if I could choose, say, four, then I'd be in a position to mix, if that didn't break some rule, and might come up with various good permutations in various proportions, and the variety would be pleasing. My dad smoked only Granger for fifty years, and even he took several years off for mostly King Edward cigars. I think one tobacco would put me on a one or two bowl a week schedule.
