welcome smokinman....the company pickup truck with it's gasoline credit card is one of the better perks at the small company I work for, as there are very few other benefits...no health insurance, 5 total days off for Holidays, if you're for 25 years like our secretary is, she still gets only 2 weeks of vacation and got a card for her 25 years of service..it wasn't even a Hallmark card.

i smoke outside under the gazebo from April until the end of October and in the garage all winter. Wife has COPD so I gave up the basement smoke room because I'm a caring and loving husband ( yeah, she's standing right behind me).

Got the ceramic heater going; so its tolerable. Spring can't come soon enough, though.

I smoke inside, and my wife has never complained. In fact, she likes it a lot as it reminds her of her father who is also a pipe smoker. Once in a while, if I fire up a heavy mixture, she'll ask if there's a lot a Latakia in it, but even that doesn't bother her. She's lovely, and I consider myself a lucky man.

I smoke outside, usually on the back deck in nice weather. Recently, I've been in the garage due to colder temperatures. We have my old stereo out there and I can sit on the fourwheeler while smoking and listening to tunes. It also gives me a better idea of the different room notes of the different tobaccos that I get to smoke. Can't really do that on the deck. Unfortunately, I've only smoked a few blends from my local B&M but they are still good choices.

I'm an outside smoker. Strange because the wife is a cig smoker and she does this inside, but only in one well ventilated room. She says I can smoke with her, but often what I have she doesn't care for and I really don't want the stuff lingering. I'll smoke on the commute to and from work, plenty of time for a bowl, and it keeps the road rage down. I also like to walk and smoke, sometimes I confuse the two, but a nice stroll for a couple miles is peaceful, even in a hat, the pipe keeps the hands warm.

I smoke in the house and sit in the best seat in the house. My sons love it and I share with them from time to time. My wife knows how much I enjoy it and supports my pleasure. She will say "That smells good" if it does, and says nothing if it doesn't most of the time. The only exception was SG Navy Flake. She made an ugly face and said "that stuff stinks".

I'm an outside smoker, but now that the weather has turned to winter-wet-nasty, the "outside" has expanded to include the garage. I've got a radiant heater installed, so I can sit under that and not be too chilly, although last night I waved off a pipe because I was feeling chilled and couldn't face the garage.
We're going to be selling the house and moving to a new one in the new year. When we're looking at houses, I'll be keeping an eye out for a potential man-cave.

I smoked for two and a half hours yesterday in the garage with it half open, it was 27 degrees in there. When I came inside I could not feel my arms. Lol but we rent so I would have to pay ALOT of money if I smoked inside. It's worth it but my girlfriend can't believe I am debating buying an oscillating heater for the garage. She thinks pipes are dumb and we are always arguing over my hobby. Women, can't live with them, can't live.....no that's right, can't live with them.

Man I feel bad for you outdoor smokers, I have my own bar attached to the house so I can smoke, play darts, listen to music, or whatever and enjoy the warmth without smoking up the house. When the garage was added on the carport became a new room that morphed in a split second to a bar. There is no way I am standing outside in freezing temps to smoke.

I rent also, so I smoke outside. It's been pretty chilly here the last few days in Pine Mountain, Ga. and I have to go out for smoke breaks when I'm working in Columbus. I'm thinking about investing in an air purifier so I can maybe smoke in the house.

In my earlier life, wife #1 disliked my pipe smoking greatly....so she drove it underground. After the divorce I became a new man and have been married to wife #2 for over 21 years....she has no problem with my pipe smoking, I guess she likes me for who I am, and I smoke only inside the house..... :D

I posted 9 months ago in this thread how I smoked inside. Since that time things have changed. My wife and I started an ebay business, we mostly sell mens, womens and kid clothes, shoes, ect. I decided that since we store our inventory in our home that I should make it smoke free, so since then i have joined the rest of you outside smokers. It was nice during the summer and fall, but the last few days man its been cold. Just came in from a smoke it's 21 degrees with a wind chill of 14. Nothing that a big coat and stiff drink want help with.

Sitting in the truck with heat on and the middle vent blowing across me, drivers window cracked, and some nice Classical music going is not too bad.
