I actually think they don't go well with bear. The bear meat overwhelms the buttery flavor of the mushrooms. Same with mountain lion. Also, have never enjoyed them on gator but I'm sure someone will come along and set me straight with that one.Sauteed mushrooms are God’s gift to man. I will literally put them on any meat.

Isn't that illegal in 49 states and territories?Welcome to Alaska after dark.
Never had polar bear, just brown bear. The gamey taste is almost spicy. Makes it tough to pair a shroom with it ?I think you just need the right bear/mushroom combination.
If you can find a cow pasture, there’s a type that grows there that goes exceedingly well with polar bear.
Good luck!
No way. Their sense of smell is extraordinary. You need every advantage you can get and reeking like tobacco isn’t one of them. The real question is, were you smoking while hunting or not!? I think that debate still rages somewhere else on this forum. ?
Black bear is much better.Never had polar bear, just brown bear. The gamey taste is almost spicy. Makes it tough to pair a shroom with it ?
You've never worked a meat processor operation outside of Jackson, WY then I take it. We argue about bullwinkle all the time. This is a first. Never seen a disagreement over Moose before.
I've had many an argument whether black bear is brown bear here in WY. I say they taste different but many say there's no difference. Whaddaya gonna do?Black bear is much better.

Ya got my mouth watering. That sounds too good to be true.No clue. I'm not a fan of killing an animal and not eating it. I make an exception for brown bears.
Although, I have heard that an interior brown bear that's almost exclusively on a non-fish diet can be edible. I'm not sure there's any bear quite as good as a black bear late in the year when they're on blueberries, though.

In Colorado we only eat quality elk, not any of those 2nd rate game meats.
Damn Trout, the two pictures of you (your avatar and the guy in the picture) look like two completely different people. In Colorado we only eat quality elk, not any of those 2nd rate game meats.
