I will. I’m still waiting on the first one to be done before putting up photos, but it turned out incredibly well. To be honest, I paid more than I’d intended, but after being told it couldn’t be done by a carver who didn’t even entertain the idea, I wasn’t stopping until it was done and done exceedingly well.

After finding a true master of the craft, it could indeed be done, but came at a price commensurate with the quality.

Thank you @hoosierpipeguy for the recommendation. Altinay didn’t do it, but he put me in touch with an absolutely brilliant artist.

To be fair, the thought of a seven day set hadn’t crossed my mind until I saw how incredibly well this first one turned out.

Now I can’t stop thinking about it. And yes, they’d pay homage to Alaskan wildlife, particularly those that are typically sought after by hook and bullet.

That sounds effing great. Crawfish Etouffe is one of my favorite dishes in this world.
