Yeah, you won't have any trouble fitting in with the chefs. You may actually be under-inked for that. If you've never read it, I highly reccommend "Kitchen Confidential" by Anthony Bourdain. IT's about the cooking scene in New York and you'll dig it.

I have cooked at 2 different chain restaurants cooking. Cracker barrel and Outback Steakhouse. They both made you cover tattoos but I am not sure if that was corporate or just the manager's rules. I don't have any so I never asked. Although a true chef wouldn't be caught dead working at a chain like that.
