Yes sir. I'm in SoCal and all the trendy people are scooping them up. lolThey are certainly scarce in most places.
I meant to say "trendy" hahaha! Everyone on the internet is canning things I guessTrendy ?
Farmers galore around here as well as avid gardeners and canners. Those jars are always in stock.
I just found it amusing. The pandemic has pushed the panic stricken to do what I learned how to do as a child.I meant to say "trendy" hahaha! Everyone on the internet is canning things I guess
There are bulk jar companies online that sell to people who do small run production runs of jams and jellies to sell at farmer's markets. They are not the absolute same kind of jar, but glass is glass. The main difference is that they are not designed for repeat pressure canning... but that doesn't matter with how we use them. But, these types of jars are always in stock, and they are about 75% cheaper. What’s an alternative? The next best thing anyone’s used?
For day to day scoop loading, I use these. There are bulk jar companies online that sell to people who do small run production runs of jams and jellies to sell at farmer's markets. You can also chose your lids, and I would suggest one piece lids, as they are better designed for canning without a heat canner.
I should add that these jars are substantially lighter also.
How did you wash it? I've plunged a few in water, with no sign of leakage. YMMV.For day to day scoop loading, I use these.

But, in my washing these, I’ve learned they’re not water-tight. So they can’t be air-tight. So no long term storage in this type of jar.
I filled the jar with hot water and dish liquid, secured the lid and shook vigorously. Water escaped the rubber seal as I did so.How did you wash it? I've plunged a few in water, with no sign of leakage. YMMV.
