peck, if Mark's is a complete disgrace, what should we call yours? Unconscionable, unseemly, deplorable, intolerable, unforgivable, outrageous, scandalous?

Viprati was one of my first ever blends and remains high on my list.

Blackhouse is great. I always have one open.. and 10 in the cellar. Can I trouble you to compare it to Fusiliers? Im not sure why I have an issue pulling the trigger on this tin.

I don't think they compare, two totally different blends to me. Like comparing Steak to Lobster. Both good but not comparable. To me at least, Black House is more like a traditional English blend while Fusilier's has the Oriental leaf content. I found the Turkish/Oriental content in Black House to be completely complimentary while it is more prominent in Fusiliers. If you like blends where the Oriental content is more prominent, you should like Fusiliers. I think it is very good and would recommend it.

Chasing, 40 100 gram tins is a nice number. When I heard of the closing, I grabbed 140 tins of Butera Royal Vintage Dark Stoved. That is whats known as cellaring with extreme prejudice.

CC was discontinued almost two years before the closing announcement, and 40 tins will long outlast me.

At just over 250 pounds in the closet, my buying is over.

I said those exact same words not that long ago. But then I had to try Curly Block and Salty Dogs and Butera Dark Stoved and Savinelli Doblone d'Oro. After my latest purchases I told myself no more, don't try any new blends, you are done buying tobacco. We'll see how long that lasts.

My wife gets a good chuckle every time I say I'm done buying. At least she laughs.

Not enough variation over the past thirty years. At two bowls a day, my interest in more has diminished. Have even cancelled all tobacco site notifications.

Even told the wife to get herself something for Christmas over more tobacco expenditures. It's quickly become clutter.

My buying isn't over, but it's reduced to a mere trickle. I couldn't resist picking up a 100gm tin of Ogden's era St. Bruno at the WCPS. The price was good, very good compared to aftermarket tobacco sites, and I love St Bruno. And I could have bought more. But at 120+ pounds, what I have will far outlast me.

A 400 pound cellar is actually light. Cellaring is hoarding against what condition God knows what. It's meant to be ample, and ample is subjective. To me ample is measured by powers of the redundant. Actually a cellar should take up a room and spill out the door. It should come to a battle between you and your tobacco over space.
The future is unknown so why not hypothesize the worst so you can have the fun of buying more tobacco. The size of your cellar if under 400 pounds is relevant; over, irrelevant. Just keep buying.
Have more fun. Buy more tobacco.

Salted, you are killing me. I have purchased three new pipes (two Petes from SP and a can of Jolly Ol'), a stack of Small Batch Red Va from SP) a stack of Black Frigate, St. Bruno flake and ready rubbed, and a box full of flakes and cakes.
I, too, have said I'm done. Each time that happens, I read about something I have yet to try. And off we go. Who worries about retirement? Just spend it while you are on flat ground and not in it!
