It’s getting interesting now! Looks like you’ve picked a few good blends to try. Enjoy what each one has to offer!
I would suggest looking at a few GLP blends.
Any specific ones ? Remember I am new. Be gentle.

Highly recommend that you give Plum Pudding Special Reserve a try.
I will one day. For now enjoying the lowEr cost MATCH or bulk options. I did splurge on the real deal EMP but also trying MATCH.
I saw where MuttNChop Piper listed PPSR it as his favorite.

I tried Presbyterian the other day. I did not hate it but I did not love it. It was sweet with a subtle burnt rubber taste but in a good way ?. It will not make it into my rotation ?

I haven't had luck with the "matches", I prefer the originals. I tried the "match" for EMP and quickly gave it away to an aromatic lover - it tasted contrived.

I'm fairly newer to the game but I'd recommend originals.
My Mixture 965 & Old Dublin are 2 of my newest favorites.
Crumble Kake English #1 is awesome too.

But I've got many, many other blends in the family to try, I'm working my way through.

Just opened Davidoff English and I'll be giving that a whirl.

Cheers.
Tried my Davidoff English last night. I'm still relishing the old leather smell & taste of it today in spite of showering and proper cleansing. Loving it.

It fit's somewhere in between the others I love, I'll have to smoke more of it to describe better but it's not as sweet, yet smooth as can be and that lingering classic outdoor / leather / smoke smell is sure a delight for me.

Cut and moisture is more like Presbyterian which is workable, but not as easy for me as My Mixture 965 & Old Dublin. Smoked well enough and will get better since the tin is opened.

Cheers

I assume you mean that I have now had the best there is?
Uh no. It’s just beginning. I’m sure most people who read @weezell ‘s comment had a chuckle as they recalled the moment that “TADoras Box”was openEd.
(Tobacco Acquisition Disorder=TAD)

I couldn’t help but thinking of the Johnny Cash song Ring of Fire. When you listen to it, think about tobacco.

EMP is a classic for a reason…pretty sure it’s over 100 years old now. Why does EMP not classify as a coger blend?
My guess is that anything truly counting as an "old codger blend" was something available across the common drugstore / general store counter.

I finally manned up and smoked my first Latakia / Oriental blend this morning. Early Morning Pipe.

I know it’s a mild blend but I loved it, loved it. Got me another one in my rotation. That’s 4.

Having a blast and just ordered me some more samples.
Early Morning is great. Welcome to the club of this nature. Consider Balkan Sasieni for a deeper, similar experience.
