Some people say Estervals don’t have this or they don’t have that.
Other people say communication from a foreign company isn’t good enough.
For most people postage costs aren’t reasonable enough for them.
I’m taking a chance & ordering a pound of St. Bruno.
If it gets through okay, I’ll be saying Danke Schoën.

People whine about all sorts of things, the ungrateful little bitches. Until the last order where things went terribly wrong, due to Exterval's crappy old shipment arrangements coupled with a USPS interdiction that was of questionable legality, all of my shipments were perfect.
There are a lot of blends that I wish they carried, but they have a lot of blends not available in the US, so it's a case of much better than nothing.
Bottom line for me is that I don't need any more tobacco, so good hunting!

I used to use them regularly. Tried a huge variety of blends not available here either, HU, DTM etc. Brexit happened & a lot of parcels were getting clobbered with duty, so I left it alone. Dipping my toe in again just to be sociable really….& hopefully save a few shilling.

I'm not joking, mind you :)
Did you almost lose your 67 Vette and a cat in a fire as well oh sorry that's someone else and whenever that person says "no joke" it's a lie.

The trick with ordering from them, at least to me is to really make the order worth while the more you order the better the deal and nothing beats DHL international shipping for speed.

If you buy 20 tins of Capstan Gold or Blue Flake, it's right around $6 per tin. Even with $50 shipping, that still works out to around $8.50 per tin. Great price. If I were going to buy, it would be 20 tins of each which would amortize the shipping to where it's around $7.50 per tin. Unfortunately, they don't seem to carry Sir John's Flake Virginia.

How much are you paying for shipping? 🤔

P.S. @hoosierpipeguy do you know how their shipping rates work?

Hmm, I wonder how customs will be too, into the USA... 🤔
Someone can be more articulate, but:

It's tiered shipping. So up to x weight = $y for shipping.

In other words, figure out your budget. Then add items to cart. Keep your eye on shipping until it bumps you into the next shipping tier. Then reduce the amount in your cart until you are back in the lower shipping tier (and still within your tobacco budget).

My invoice is pictured above..
They're only doing DHL to the US so it doesn't come through traditional customs. Should be quick and hassle free, partly explains the cost.

Good advice, quite easy and obvious. Always my method when ordering from 4noggins.
Ordering from Peretti is somewhat muddy to me . If memory serves they calculate shipping at check out.
Takes a little more math to figure out what is most economical, if you take my meaning.

The shipping is quite expensive.
Pardon my ignorance, but why not through customs ?
When using a courier like DHL, UPS, and FedEx they have a built-in customs dept. that pre-approves parcels. That way they can guarantee that 2day and 3day shipments without the hassle of sitting in postal service customs.
