Howdy all!
I started smoking a pipe back in 2003 after inheriting some pipes from my grandfather. Since I really didn’t know anything about smoking a pipe, I struggle through the initial stages of learning until I was able to successfully pack, light and smoke a wonderful bowl of tobacco. I remained a casual pipe smoker for several years.
Like most new pipe smokers, I started trying different types of ‘baccy. I seemed to like aromatic blends and stuck with those. Worked on buying some new pipes and building a “reasonable “ collection.
After retiring from the Army, I began to get back into smoking more! I recently decided to delve into English blends and expand my understanding of the types of tobacco that are used. I have really enjoyed the few English blends I’ve tried so far; started a mason jar cellar too.
I live in the Boise, Idaho area.
I look forward to gleaning knowledge and sharing with other members.
