Do you have any decent tobacco shops in Charleston? I would imagine that there are still quite a few pipe smokers in our State Capitol. You know us West Virginians, we smoke to help the black lung go down better. Good to have you with us. There are a lot of good people here.
WVOldFart There's only two proper pipe shops in the state. Squires Tobacconist here in Charleston, (it's run by Charley),,, and the other is King Street Pipes & Coffee in Martinsburg, owned by Ed Trout (nicest man you'd ever meet,,, real casual, not pushy). He had to raise cane with the city council to pass a special addendum and attach it to their smoking codes in order to allow folks to come in to his place, grab a gourmet coffee, take a seat and actually SMOKE! If Ed had not of stood up to city hall, it's doubtful this place would still be open! I mean it dosen't take a genius to figure it out,,, you go to a restaurant to >EAT<, a swimming pool to >GO SWIMMING< a gun range to >SHOT YOUR FIREARMS<. None of these businesses have to fight city hall to go about their daily activities. These sorts of political shenanigans just burn me up. I get so worked up i can't hardly think straight. These two places are listed on PipesMagazine.com in the Retailer Directory. Thanks for the Re-mail and welcome. Mr. sewerpipe.

Like you, i struggled with packing/lighting and keeping lit. and like you gravitated towards arro's. just the other day i tryd a English/Oriental blend "Frog Morton's Crypt". it is a clone of Frog Morton's cellar( wich is no longer made) and i found it a pleasant surprise.

Thanks-
Never tried FM original. I’m really enjoying my new interest in English blends.
