Dang. So I need to buy a new pipe? May avoid Savinelli going forward. Not a lot of use on this one..it was for my English blends.

Just out of curiosity, why not repairable?
If the pipe was purchased new in the last year any reputable retailer should replace it.

No, it was about 14 years ago. And this was my pipe for English blends, which I smoke less frequently. Maybe cracked from lack of use? It's wood, I get it. Not going to hold it against Savinelli.

@georged’s post is the proper way.

I did a much less refined job for my first attempt on a Ropp J07 that worked out well mechanically and the pipe still sees hard use. The stainless tubing was as close as I was able to easily source to the airway id. All in all it was a great experience and if I choose to do it again I will take much more time and care.

Marine grade epoxy fixes a lot of sins.

You could use a fine needle to force into cracks and you can tint the epoxy.

The reality is it’s not a one off historical pipe. Don’t over think or spend on an inexpensive Savinelli.
