I probably wont use italics. What I like about sarcasm, is that those who get it, "get it." And, those who don't, get all bent out of shape... and that can be rewarding on it's own. When someone gets mad at me, it doesn't hurt me as much as it does them. ::

Most of my writing is at work, as a mortgage underwriter. I am not expressing myself. I am making the message as exact and easy to understand as possible. "Borrower to provide page 3 of the July 31st statement of ABC Bank account 3333."
I also love to insert a picture of guidelines, when I am e-mailing a loan officer about why he can't do what he is attempting. I find that this stops a lot of noise.
Obviously, this forum is different from work. But I still prefer to communicate clearly. I will keep sarcasm and friendly joshing to when I can see the other person's face to read when I am getting close to crossing a line.
