so many questions. Is this co-worker sensitive to smoke or do they just not like it? How close do you work with them? Are they a boss or something like that? How decent is the circulation in the building? What do you smoke. Is there a strong ventilation system you can stand near that sucks the smoke in ;) (worked in high school and we weren't even allowed to smoke at all there). What country are you working in? That one might make a difference. What are you smoking? Do you clean your pipes (makes a difference in my experience to how nice the smoke smells). Is your co-worker a lady or not a lady a.k.a. a man thing? (seriously that makes some difference, might be worth trying certain aromatics for work ladies love Vanilla).
But generally all you can really do is reduce the smell. Either by avoiding it or covering it.

Hey, yes she is my Bose in department. I smoked a vanilla and cherry blend, then bourbon aromatic. I guess the bourbon made a huge difference in smell, it's probably very stinky. Should I clean the bowl too after every smoke to make less smell?

Smoke only aromatics.

If anyone has issues with the scent of vanilla and cherries it's THEM who have a problem, not you.

RE: pipe, well, yes, bowls should be well cleaned after each smoke. The tars and gunk are smelly. I thoroughly clean my pipes after smoking them and build no stinking cake. My pipes smell wonderful.

Hey, yes she [emphasis added] is my Bose in department.
Ah, now we've come to the quick of it! Yes, being odious around her simply won't do.

So, I hate to break it to you, but the whiskey aros tend to smell acrid. Save it for elsewhere. When you go out to smoke, have a light jacket just for smoking and store it in your locker, car, wherever. When you smoke, put it on. When you finish, take it off. Keep a small thing of mints handy and use one to freshen your breath and wash your face and hands thoroughly.

Then, and this is important, a light spritz of a light cologne in the soft amber family of scents. These scents are naturally warm, woodsy, with hints of spice and vanilla; they do a good job masking the fowler parts of the tobacco smell while not clashing with it entirely. DO NOT give yourself an Axe Bath or anything of the sort. You will smell like a desperate and noxious teenager that is trying to not smell like weed in front of his parents. That shit is amateur. And of course, when you do go home, wash your clothes regularly and try to smoke near an open window, outside, or near an air filter. If the smoke has nowhere to go, it will just waft all over you and make things worse.

OK. Female boss. It's very touch subject. You really don't want to hurt her feeling. They are worse than wife. They will hold grudge until they ream you a new asshole. There was only one female manager I got along with. Rest of 'em were simply female dogs. Mood swing from hell. Back stabbing.

Only smoke things she loves. Go take shower at gym locker if you have to. Last female manager was serious mental case. Thank God I don't work there.
