I had a good hit with nausea and I am still.new to pipes but I wonder if it was smoking it too fast. I'm a person who has a hard time relaxing so I tend to rush my smokes. Which tends to inhaling more smoke and my body is not used to it....like I said it's hard for me to slow down and enjoy the bowl

Smoking too fast can certainly be a cause of nausea. So can too much at one time when you're new (or old!). So can certain tobaccos that disagree with your body. (Most cited I've seen are Red Virginias) Then there are dozens of other factors such as stomach full or empty, mood, and on and on.
Take it nice and slow and enjoy!
