They have several different bent bulldog shapes actually. Sorry for hijacking your thread.

Well, they should have, the dirty bastards! (Thank you Austin Powers, who I stole that from outright.)

Nice. Thanks, Fitzy! The 514 and 624 definitely look like bulldogs to my eye, but the 173, definitely more of a Rhodesian, like you say. I have a 673KS, and while I love the thing, it's an odd duck. I don't really know what to call it, but I don't see it as a bulldog.

Thanks so much for going to the trouble Don. That #623 in 'Roma' finish looks to be more my cup of tea. The alligator is just hideous to my eye. I'll check them out in the morning to see what kind of sizes are available. I have a Peterson 80S which though a good smoker is a tad small for my liking. I prefer my bulldogs on the larger side.
Regards,
Jay.

Jay, if you don't mind a Dr. Grabow product, you can get a shape 83 for $35-$40 on eBay. There is an eBay store called Lawrence's Archery that sells them new in the box. I have two; they are great smokers with a generously sized bowl IMO.

Don't care if the pipe gets dirty. To get rid of the woody taste (if not pre-carbonated) put some brandy or whiskey in the bowl. When it is gone, put more. Then let dry and smoke.
