this became part of the rules.

I suppose I should read through those, so I don't get kicked out..
It is a great looking pipe, please give us a follow up bump after some time!!

Didn't the mangy curs of the Black Frigate have something to do with that? Can't take those guys anywhere!

I believe it was Coyote whose images of ships skitting across the page got bigger by the day that drew the most attention. Oddly he got booted off not long after the new rule came in. Connected? Possibly.

Jay.

The Black Frigate guys were responsible for insert massive ship photo here ;)
Thanks for the comments. I have seen the nice patina you can get on unfinished smooth pipes. I just wasn't sure what to expect with the rustication. I imagine the outer tips would be a different color than the crevices - that could be cool.

Actually there were quite a few animated photos and large photos in signatures, but the Black Frigate crew took the most heat for it.

Look on the bright side- if they're not passing laws because of you, you're not pirating very well!

Plank walking is too good for the likes of me. I should be wound with lit slowmatch and shackled to the mainmast!

Nope, people complaining about bandwidth issues and slow load time. My phone can't even load thread with "pic heavy" content, and I don't complain. Then "gloat" threads came after everyone took down the big images to settle ruffled feathers.

Duane, there was no gloating intended, just an acknowledgment of what I (and others) took to be a good move on behalf of all members, some of whom had difficulties in downloading gif(?) laden pages and others who found them to be distracting.
If I recall correctly Kevin asked for member's input before he made the amendment.
Regards,
Jay.

Nice pipe.
I like all of those Sav Petite's.
I've been eyeing a 105 and a 112 in that same finish for a couple weeks.

I keep reading about and seeing Savinelli pipes on here I think I'd better get me one so as to see what all the fuss is about. Do they do a bent bulldog by any chance?

Jay.
