That's why, way back when, the wealthy used to hire people to smoke and color their meers for them...
Don't see why, I've already ran 12 smokes through the owl I received Thursday. I just don't see them as being any better when heavily colored, they still smoke the same once the chalk taste clears. This one picked up most of its color in the first couple of months.

All of mine smoke pretty much the same regardless of coloration. I think a lot of having a deeply colored meer is about bragging rights...
