How Old Were You?

Cigars at 16. First pipe and cigs at 18. Chewed for about 6 months around 19 or 20. Finally kicked the cigs again (third times the charm). I'm 26 now and hope to enjoy my pipe and occasional cigar for a long time.

I was 16 when I started smoking cigarettes. I told my mom, and she started buying them for me. Hooked ever since. I'm 24 now, Been smoking a pipe for about 2 years now.

I first gave pipes a go when I was 18, but it was mostly off for seven years. I picked up the briar seriously about three years ago. I will have a cigar from time to time. Never have been a cigarette smoker.

49, wife bought me a Savinelli pipe and some Black Cherry tobacco for Christmas. Before that, I was a nonsmoker all my life. Still won't touch a cigarette though.

I was 29 when I started smoking pipes.That was 42 years ago.That makes me 71 now.As has been said by many,I have no idea where the years have gone.

First pipe at 21, but didn't take it seriously until I was around 25 or 26. (Around the millennium.) I'm 39 now, never smoked anything but a pipe.

I was in the 5th grade... 11 years old.

I asked my Dad if I could have a couple of puffs of his pipe.

I took one... and got one hell of a case of spins.

I tried to get down from his lap....

He said: "Where you going? You still have a puff comin'." :mrgreen:

Besides the occasional puff of a cigar offered by my stepdad, I had my first smoke at the age of 18, when I was off at college. Swishers and the like back then. First pipe at 19. Off and on both pipes and cigars in the intervening decade and change. Never smoked a cigarette, I'm (probably unduly) happy to say.

17 I started smoking cigarettes. But I kicked that at 19 or 20. I smoked cigars here and there. Then I began smoking pipes at 33.
