Not much. I'm slowly transitioning to a deeper rather than wider cellar (fewer blends but more stocked on those fewer blends). I almost never pick up anything new to try since I still have a number of unopened, untried blends.
I tend to just pick up two 8 oz cans of blends in my core rotation, maybe once/month for now.

This month was hell on me! Friggin change ups at D&R threw me for a loop. So I got what I could, and then I’ll be damned if there wasn’t a sale on C&D right after. So yeah, I got some of that too. I know, I’m weak... ?‍♂️

I’ve quit acquiring large amounts so any more it’s 5 tins of something new that fits my profile and maybe a few of favorites.

Unless you’re an anomaly your tastes will change a lot over the first few years of smoking the pipe. Large orders should be approached with care in those early years of your pipe career. This sadly complicates building a cellar in these days of tobacco vilification.

I can only buy 2 or 3 small tins/ pouches as anything more will be kept by customs. Tobacco is too expensive where I live. 3 tins shipped from US will still be cheaper than walking into a store and buying two tins.
Same here; I read the posts from the US based members and think 'lucky b****rds'. I limit my orders to 5 tins as this is what can be brought in in-person through customs; anything more than that is likely to get seized.

I used to do bigger orders when I lived in Australia (in the days when they allowed personal imports of tobacco) and kept those down to around 500g (Australian tax was running at AUD 1000 per Kg and although 75% of orders got through without tax I soon realised that larger orders seemed to attract unwanted attention).
