I would say 18-20 hours per day I've got a pipe lit. I have Kodiak in my jaw when sleeping.

Have you figured out a way to smoke in the shower yet, or do you just take baths as a simpler solution?
I do cold baths. The pressure and heat of shower water irritates my eczema so definitely smoking while bathing.

Baths call for a desk/table pipe. Those things need to come back!
Bowl size is the great unknown variable from my perspective. I like shag and flake tobaccos very high in Vitamin-N (e.g. Kendal Dark), which means I smoke in small bowls. 10 small bowls of such blends is probably reasonable.

If I'm awake there is usually a pipe/cig/coffee/food in my mouth between words/breaths. YMMV , no wrong way
I don't laugh out loud often, but this made me chuckle. I have both large and small chamber pipes for various reasons and situations.
The large for weekend mornings with a bottomless cup of coffee. The small for weeknight smokes when particularly stressed.
Working full time while raising a 4 year old makes it currently difficult to smoke as much as I'd like. Small pipes of a stout blend are ideal for this situation. If retired, it would be a whole different situation.

Those house pipes are too small for my liking but I've not found Gawith blends to have much in the way of nicotine. I usually just chew them especially Black Twist XX.
I am glad I could give you a laugh. You and I are in similar situations. Our days to smoke large, leisurely bowls are years off. Here’s hoping we both get to enjoy them!

My body will tell me when I’m smoking too much. Irritated tongue or throat is usually the message. Sometimes the smoke itself is irritating, it will be harsh or off tasting and I try to take that as a sign to take a break.
66 seems to be the expiration limit for my family. Just glad I live nowhere near where tobacco use is frowned upon.
The tongue and palate will definitely tell me to stop - when everything tastes like sour mess and a dragon nibbling at my tongue

Try plain Dawn dishwashing liquid for bathing and Hydrocortisone ointment, not the cream, for outbreaks.
