I'm kinda scared to count em. I know that I had about 60 about a year ago...closer to 80 now.

I've got a lot of low end estates, a lot of cobs, a few top names and no artisans.

I've got meers, maple, briar, and cherry.

I've got a The Pipe, and a Yello Bole Brylon.

I've got Dunhill, Barlings, Comoy, Butz Choquin, Chacom, Brebbia, Savinelli, Peterson, Lorenzo, LHS, Kaywoodie, Dr. Grabow, Wally Frank,Yello Bole, and Medico (unsmoked Medicos) I've got Mastercraft, and I've got some that were sold by Pipe stores as their own brand. A few of these are pretty special. I've got obscure brand pipes and well known pipes. I've got too many pipes and I still look for more. It seems to happen in spurts. ?

I discovered pipe smoking a year into a health related retirement and I've been transferring my lifelong 'work ethic' to pipes and tobacco, but on the cheap because now I've got a 'fixed' income.

2 years in, and I'm overrun with pipes. I've had a BLAST!

Oh skydog... it has nothing to do with "need"... it's all about soaring joy, ecstasy unfettered, Elysian fields of happy heath, pleasure unbounded on wings of woody joy, etc etc etc.

I'm sitting pretty on two pipes: a Missouri Meerschaum naked cob, and a straight apple basket pipe. I don't smoke often, so I have no need for a sizeable collection. Although two out three more couldn't hurt...

Around 45, though only about 30 get smoked regularly. As I don't believe in owning so many pipes that each might only get used a few times a year, I now have only a low interest in buying more. Good thing, too, given the state of my budget. Earl

excuses excuses... I have 2 places

so 6 at my full time home - 4 at a summer home

Would like to add a few different shapes. Plus I've added inexpensive Stanwells that are good smokers but...

Added a couple of nice Rattrays recently and traded away a few in their stead

trying not to buy more! But it's not working

Most of these numbers are incredible! I would love to own more, and in time I shall, but I seem to have more hobbies than funds can support so the accumulation will be a slow process. I have 1 Brigham, 2 MM Hardwood, 4 MM cobs and an old Brigham that I inherited from my Grandfather that I don't intend on smoking. A grand total of 8!

8 - $100.00 - $200.00, briar

22 - $100.00 and under. briar

20 - cobs
Pipes are lovely, just lovely, and if you keep smoking the pipe, you will sooner than later have more pipes than you can smoke. I spent $150.00 on a Dunhill patent last month and $90.00 on a Bertram panel billiard 2 weeks ago, yet last week I cruised Coopersark's listings with a vengeance.

Wow, I'm impressed by how many some of you have! 8O
I have 3 now, my Grabow Omega, Cob and the one from the FPP (my prized pipe of my small collection!).
If some of you ever need to lighten your pipe inventory feel free to send me a message!

I have 70+ collected over the past 30 years. 20+ are Petersons, with several each of Savinellis, Nordings, Boswells, Charatans, Dunhill, Kaywoodies, Stanwells and Wally Franks. The rest are one of these and one of those with only a handful of artisan pipes. Keep on puffin' :puffpipe:
