How Many Pipe Cleaners to Dry an 8oz Jar?

I was wondering how many pipe cleaners it takes you to properly dry an 8oz canning jar including lid? On average I seem to use around 9 of the standard Dill’s pipe cleaners but would like to get that number down to 6. Any thoughts or methodologies to share?

I’m a bit surprised to find out people would allow paper to touch their jars.

I've found that these hot air solder softeners work quite well to force dry your pipe cleaners, you can then only use one pipe cleaner per jar. They cost about $50, obviously well worth it when you consider that this frees up a lot of pipe cleaners to use for proper storage of your pipes with cleaner inserted through the stem into the bowl.

So ... I shouldn’t be using my underwear to clean the jars and the undies at the same time? I mean, there’s soap and water.... Seems like a waste not to double task. ?

Are you trolling us, or are you being serious? I’ve never fathomed using pipe cleaners to dry anything besides the airway of a pipe. I use dish towels or paper towels for jars, if they have not gone through the dishwasher on the dry cycle.

I don’t reuse Ball jars, once it’s empty it goes to Goodwill. Jars are cheap compared to tobacco, why take the chance of contamination?

One. If you use more than that, you are defeating the purpose of using pipe cleaners to begin with. How do y’all not know this?!

Wouldn't there be more lint from pipe cleaners? I feel like we're being trolled.
