Because I can't stop myself from saving pennies!
and I don't even use pipe cleaners on my pipes.. I have a few "pipe rags", they get reused.
Can you really compare lint from a pipe cleaner to that of a paper towel, if you wish to descend further, toilet paper...

Use extra fluffy cleaners. 2 are all you need for a pint jar. Don't tell anyone else! ?

I use only the best toilet paper to avoid a mid-day itch. So yeah, I guess if it comes down to it.
Damn. You guys are hardcore. I don’t smoke my pipe while on Benadryl, just seems wrong to me.
Where exactly are you placing the cleaner so that it tickles?
I use sterilized medical swab. Nothing else will be good for my tobacco jar! By the way, how do you sanitize the tobacco? They look germy to me.
I sanitize my tobacco with fire mostly. Works great.
Spit generously into the jar, then wipe with a Bounty paper towel, then blow vigorously into the jar to finish drying it. That'd also sterilise the jar if you've been drinking prior to.

If you get the high quality tp you can hang it to dry and reuse it
