Dang so many names for one blend. I am very eager to try this as it is so popular.

I am in the UK and i am yet to find it by the listed names.

Is there a fool proof way that i might recognize it?

Sixmp: I'm not sure you can actually find it in the UK. I know I have never seen it, but I have honestly not really looked for it either when I'm on that side of the pond.
I think that Gawith's American Vanilla actually comes somewhat close to it. But it's a bit darker and more Vanilla-ish if I recall correctly. I had a couple of bowls of it about a year or so ago.
On recognizing 1-Q, once you've smoked it, it actually becomes relatively easy to recognize. You walk into a store, see their "Golden HumptyDumpty" blend, look at it, sniff it and wonder... is this 1-Q . It's a ribbon cut Golden Virginia Cavendish with fair amount of black cavendish and a decent Vanilla topping. There's just something about it that makes it "just right". It's what a lot of people associated with the smells of someone smoking a pipe.
For a good picture you can have a look here
Good luck

If there was ever a blend that is a must for us pipe smokers, 1Q should be it. Every pipe smoker should try it

At Fader's of Baltimore it's called Unique...I mix my own version of RLP-6 by adding BCA to it. I read or heard somewhere that this is the blend Eisenhower smoked before Mamie made him quit,..hence the name I-Q, being close to Ike...

Chris: Don't know who at Sir Elliott's told you but you're right... they have a ton of Lane Limited bulks. And AC Peterson's Mark Twain.
