this would make a great out of context quote. If you don't know about the pipe shape that sounds like a really weird scenario.

If you're that interested in weird pipes, I'll sell you this one for cheap. It's a Bartlett. You unscrew the cap to load the tobacco and then light it from the bottom which has a screen.
