With the right sized pipe, I could probably make a pound last at least twelve hours, if I didn't have to take breaks to eat. 

I smoke roughly a bowl a day. Some days are more but during the winter that balances out due to some days not smoking at all. I estimate each bowl smoked is about 3 grams give or take.
365 days X 3 grams a day = 1095 grams
1095 grams = 2.41 lbs smoked a a year.
At this rate my cellar will last me only 8 years or so
If that guy was right, you could say a pound lasts you about 5 1/2 weeks.A member here calculated that I go through roughly 8 lbs in a year. So idk
