I have a 12 pipe rack, three 6 pipe racks, a Nording bobblehead that holds my Nording churchwarden, three pipes on the cheapy folding pipe stands, and 6 meers all in their cases. No real order to the racks other than trying to keep the brands semi together, and stems up..

Currently I am in the process of having a custom rack built by a local cabinet shop. Wifey said my collection has spread out too far.... Will post a pick of it once it is built and I get my babies into their new home...

I'm a stems up guy myself. I have a seven pipe rack and four separate stands upstairs on an old smoking stand. The rest are in the family room downstairs in an 18 pipe Sherlock Holmes case and the overflow on a 12 pipe rack. I'd love to have them all in one place, one day.

I have my daily smokers in a 6 rack with the 7th sitting on a hakey sak, my Lane era Ben Wade goes in its own wooden box, and my last Ardor stays in the Irwin Reis Box it came in, the mini meer goes in it's case.

I have two circular racks that hold 8 pipes each, stems up.
However, funny you should ask this question. Lately I have been separating my stems from my pipes the next day after use and letting them air dry on a table. So far it seems that the resting period is cut in half doing so.
My only worry is that some of my stems are tight, and by taking them off and on too much, I may snap one eventually.
Which then got me to thinking - what if someone invented an enclosed pipe rack (picture a round pipe rack with a plastic cover over the entire thing) with a very small de-humidifier or possible an ozone producing motor built into the base that would pump into vents at the bottom of the rack?
Not sure if my description is clear... If something like this could be mass produced and cost under $100, I bet it would sell - or am I wrong??

Six, I'm not sure an enclosed, dehumidified rack would be such a good idea. Dried out wood is never good.
Me? I've got my pipes spread out over 7 racks in my smoking room. I've posted pictures before; you all know what they look like.

I know I'm a heathen but mine are stored on their sides in small Walmart plastic drawers. I will someday spring for a couple of racks (actually, those are on my Christmas list) so I can rest them stem up after smoking for a couple days.

I just leave mine laying around much like tools on a work bench.

mp, great looking set up. I have a large built in hutch in my living room where I keep most of my stuff. I'll take a pic tomorrow and post it.

Some days more than others :D
@mp31guitar I like those leather pipe rests. Those would be pretty simple to make out of a few old belts and rivets.

Thanks guys. That's what I did captain. I had a few of my grandfathers old belts laying around the house and decided to make these. That belt would've been thrown away as it wasn't being used for anything else. Though the idea is not mine, I saw similar rest browsing the web.

Wow you guys have some awesome set ups, I just have mine on the rack I just bought today, pics on my last thread about buying pipes. I am hoping to have a set up on a shelf or dresser with my pipes on one side and my razors on another... this of course will depend on the size of each collection :P

2 x 8 pipe holder, 5 x 6 pipe holders, 2 x 10 pipe holders, 1 x 12 pipe rack, 1 x 22 rack, 5 x pipe rests that hold 2 to 3 pipes, and 7 single rests, going to setup pipe cabinets as I an running out of room. Good idea to dedicate a hutch or bookcase to the lot.

OK Lawrence, pictures. I had to photograph these anyway for insurance. These are most of the pipes.
