My wife makes these leather pouches for myself and few friends. They work great in the Honda Big Red, boat, just about everywhere outdoors.

sparks if you want one send me a private message I will ask her to make you one. I think we still have some of that leather. She is always crafting something around here. :) I forgot to add I put the tobacco in s little snack size zip lock bag and put it in there with the pipe. It isn't fancy but it works.

I am not a fan of the idea of carrying a 'murse' just for my pipe possibles. It seems like something like that might work OK if you don't get more than 300 yards from your car, office, or home. If you are doing anything very active, something lighter and more streamlined is necessary. I am a big fan of using sunglass cases. For carry in a jacket pocket, I just use a soft microfiber 'sock' sunglass case, with a baggie of about 1/2 oz of my day's tobacco and a lighter in a separate pocket. If I am carrying a more expensive pipe and doing something pretty rowdy, I use a semi-hard sunglass case that protects from crushing. Costa and Maui Jim cases are great for this. I have used this kind of carry setup on long backpack trips, backcountry skiing, and float trips.
I do find it cumbersome to carry a pipe around town in warm weather when I don't have a jacket. Sometimes I stick straight-stemmed pipes in the back strap of by baseball hat. Goofy, but it works.

I have a 2 pipe Peterson case for a short time away. But when I'm gone more than a day this comes out:

Another forum member gave me this idea. He got it at Harbor Freight and it was that next size larger than this.

I use the hideous sporran that came with my kilt.
I'm considering building a custom "sporran" (technically a modified cargo pocket) that will snap on to my Survivor model Utilikilt... Will post pics once I get beyond the sketching stage. :D

"I just ordered this while I was looking for something to put on my belt and carry a couple pipes, some bakky, etc. without carrying my backpack.

I'll report back on how it works. Seems like it will hold whatever I need, though."
Well, I got it in. I should say got them in, as there were two of them. Best idea I've had in a long time! The two loops attatch nicely on my belt holster style. There are hard plastic sides, so it holds a square shape pretty well. It will fit two MM Generals, a tin of tobacco, several pipe cleaners and extra pipe tools while not being too much in the way. Happy I got them!

I recently started using this Peterson one pipe case for brief jaunts to visit the relatives or wait in the car while my mom attends to business. It's a great little case, made of soft chocolate colored leather, space for a pipe of course, plenty of room for tobacco, and a great zip up accessory compartment for tamper and lighter.I find myself using it all the time, with a Marron Glace Apple in it and some Charlemaine tobacco. Wonder how I did without it.
