thank you. I am so sick of seeing people online (not here by the way so much) say something is just anecdotal. Yeah a lot of things are. And yeah I wouldn't use them as proof in most cases but that doesn't mean it's anywhere near as valueless as people think. Heck how many things become statistics or studied because of anecdotal evidence? It's simply anecdotal, nothing more. Anecdotal observations are valid, to a point. They require no defense when challenged as they are simply observations/experience, interesting only as such. Much like unsupported opinions.
Nah. I just like talking with you. If we had the same conversation over a pipe, the whole tone would read differently. O.k. I want to make my point too but more in a I feel like I am not getting myself across then how dare you not agree with me. Though you have talked about certain types of people you have worked with and mentioned in passing to paraphrase the general incompetence that is common in your industry. And the restaurant industry is a rough place. You could if I was only making up generalizations about my field, but I'm often quite specific. Look, this is about your need to have the final word, more than actually contributing anything of value to this thread, so go ahead and satisfy yourself.
Want some facts. I ran into a former co-worker we got into reminiscing and it turns out that there is a long list of people we worked with or knew from the industry that are all dead in their 50's. From stress and hard living.
