for me, reviews are useful to see if i would be interested in something. i then add it to the list and go from there. recently, i added kingfisher to my list, but not pelican. the problem, if you can call it that, if that there are sooo many wonderful tobaccos out there which are finely crafted with great intention and just waiting to be smoked.

Generally speaking, zero. Although I might check to get an idea of constituents, I base nothing on the reviews outside of satisfying my curiosity on what others thought. Too many blends I thought I wouldn't like, I did like. Too many blends I though I would like, I didn't. Solution: try them all and decide for yourself.

I can't imagine not trying to fathom the constituent tobaccos before ordering more than a small sample. But maybe some like all tobaccos that may be in a blend. I do not.
