I generally smoke my pipe outside for no reason other than I enjoy being outdoors. When the weather is bad, I light up inside. Occasionally, I'll have a pipe at the dining room table after a big meal in front of the TV. My wife has never said a word about where I smoke but I do tend to to prefer the porch. I'm just curious how many of you smoke in the house and if your partner is OK with that?

Smoking is better inside. If I'm outside for other reasons I'll smoke outside. If I can't smoke at a place, I basically don't go there.
"Her indoors" is totally intolerant of tobacco smoke, so outdoors smoker at all times - front porch/verandah or infrequently the back patio (not enclosed and tends to be much windier)
I did discuss turning one of our rooms into a smoking room with an industrial kitchen extractor/ventilating system, but was given short shrift.

My wife is dead. I smoke any place it's legal. Where it's not, I usually chew and spit into an empty. Yes I have made that mistake so, the label is torn off the first one I empty. When Sally was alive I did smoke in the house, no spousal objections.
I smoke inside in my den. My wife is fine with because she likes the smell of what I am smoking.
Smoke in the house occasionally, no complaints from the Mrs. as long as I have the windows open. Mainly smoke in my car because the neighbors are insufferable about smoke of any kind, I've gotta get out of California.

Always outside. Have you ever been to a non-smoking hotel that used to have smoking rooms? And wonder why the stale smoke smell's still lingering around? How long has it been since smoking was banned at public businesses?
I smoke cigars on the porch and on walks; pipes inside the house—I tried pipes in the apartment, but it made things too stale and stinky there. Thankfully, Susan doesn’t mind pipes in the house.
In the house and occasionally outside. I was smoking a pipe when we dated and after 50 plus years, I just light up 2 feet way from my wife or in my office. I don't smoke when we have company.
It would be easier to point out where i DON'T smoke: inside the main house. Other than that, my shop/smoking lounge, yard, front porch, back deck, lunting along the road, driving...everywhere in between!

As I have already commented in other threads, 80% I smoke in my smoker's room, with the window open about 15 centimeters, the door closed. In this room, I have my modest library, and the small collection of distillates, the computer, etc, you know. My wife likes or tolerates sweet tobaccos, aromatics, virginias. She hates the smell of cigars. The other 20% practically in the golf club, there is a terrace, where you can smoke without problems, while you have a coffee or your favorite drink, and watch the golfers play. Some of them smoke pipes or cigars during their breaks. And I ask them what tobacco they are smoking. Smoking on the fairway, has to be with wind at speed, zero kilometers, I don't like breeze at all, as the smoke goes away, and I don't enjoy the aroma.

Not in the house, not in her vehicle.
Wife and I switched to air fresheners for primary nicotine delivery mainly due to work constraints about 5-6 years ago, but from 2012 until then we did our smoking in the garage, outside, or in our vehicles, but not the main living quarters.
From the eighties to ‘12 every residence I had got trashed by smoking, but then again, medical facilities had ashtrays hanging in the halls so the docs could put their smokes out on the way into exam rooms….

Outside on the deck or hiking about when weather allows and sometimes in my vehicle on a road trip - winter at home = heated garage. No option with current house setup for a dedicated space and we both prefer the house to smell of dogs and/or whatever we just cooked or baked, lol.
