Would humidity (Sydney is very humid) cause fungal problems during the drying/curing process ?
Where do you source tobacco seeds ?
Southeastern NC is also very hot and humid!Would humidity (Sydney is very humid) cause fungal problems during the drying/curing process ?

I’m okay with that ...but there is somewhat of a Chinese wall in my cellar to go through before that happensLooks delicious, man! Might be your only option in NZ soon
I had just waxed the floor the week before hence the emptiness...despite the photographic evidence, according to my wife it is NOT going to be our tobacco shedAnyone who can keep a work area as clean as that tobacco shed inspires my awe. If I sit down in pristine forest, by the time I get up, it looks a little cluttered. Even if I don't bring anything with me or litter at all.
This forum has been invaluable:Anyone have some good links to start researching this? I live in MN but we do get a spurt of hot n' humid and there's always grow lights for longer if needed. May be fun to add some plants it to this years hot peppers.
Why Finland?I have a feeling sometime down the road growing your own tobacco may become inevitable and the only remaining way to get supply of more or less affordable tobacco in Finland
Because that is where he lives? Why Finland?

There are 269 tobacco farms in Ontario and I'm growing in Edmonton so I'm pretty sure you should start growing next year. I dare say that even if you lived in Kenora, you'd be able to pull off a crop.I would love to attempt a grow, however the end season drying and curing worry me due to our cold and humid fall, then of course winter... I don't think i have the climate for it to work out. That burley sure looks amazing, congrats
Thanks for that push. Maybe I'll start a few this season for fun. See how they turn outThere are 269 tobacco farms in Ontario and I'm growing in Edmonton so I'm pretty sure you should start growing next year. I dare say that even if you lived in Kenora, you'd be able to pull off a crop.
