Howdy from WI! As others noted, there’s a plethora of info to help you learn the hobby. And indeed there is a lot of learning to be done! Why I love it to be honest. Always something new to try, new pipe to buy, new packing, drying, smoking techniques to fiddle with. Just be patient and enjoy the ride!

Hi 🙂

My advice is that there’s no replacement for experience. Try new things and see what works for you. Oh, and beware of PAD and especially TAD. Start with a couple blends from each blend type and take note of what you like and dislike. After going through them all, post your thoughts here and guys can point you towards other blends that you might like.

Welcome! Please put your location in your Profile, as people are forgetful.
Why: It will save time for others as to where you live when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc. In many instances that saves time for those who read your posts, and for you in not having to reply to inquiries. .
How:
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. province, etc.

New to pipes. My wife got me one for Christmas. I usually smoke cigars (about 1 a week). I am enjoying the experience but am having a hard time keeping it lit. Any pointers would be appreciated.
Lots of highly experienced people here. Good luck on your journey and don’t give up.
