My old eyes had a time finding Stokesdale on the map up there in Stokes County, north of Kernersville, and a little NW of Greensboro, within easy driving to Sparta, home of Dr. Grabow pipes.
Thanks for the welcome. Stokesdale is actually in Guilford county, although it adjoins Stokes, Rockingham and Forsyth counties. My old eyes had a time finding Stokesdale on the map up there in Stokes County, north of Kernersville, and a little NW of Greensboro, within easy driving to Sparta, home of Dr. Grabow pipes.
Thanks for the welcome and the suggestion. I'm pretty much set in my ways to be honest. I pretty much only smoke untopped and uncased virginias and burleys, and some kentucky--I've never really been a fan of anything that's too complex. My main blends are Carolina Red Flake which I smoke a ton of, Burley #2, Interlude (lighlty cased VA), plain brights (either local leaf or C&D), and some JackKnife plug (this is where the Kentucky comes in). I do occasionally smoke one topped blend in Santee, but its very lightly topped and I don't smoke it often. For me, if it has too much complexity, I tend to shy away from it.Welcome from Boiling Springs *S*C, just down the big road from Hendersonville. Glad to have you aboard! Get yourself some Black Frigate too. It's gooood stuff!
