De Queen seems to have been overlooked by Rand McNally, or my old eyes betray me. My wife grew up in a very small town in Missouri up near the Iowa line and the Mississippi River, with maybe forty people left, and it still manages to get on the map. Her people still raise beef cattle there, baldies, but more on the farm than the ranch scale. The little town, Granger, has been given over mostly to a wooden freight palette construction, but she can still show me where the two general stores and the town well, etc., were. In the area, there are chain dollar stores, drug stores, and a county seat up the road, Memphis, Missouri.

Oops, there DeQueen is, the county seat of Sevier County not far from the Oklahoma line. I was looking farther north, and the print in the index is so small. But you are Rand McNally'ed.
