Yes it is. They have three branches now. Sadly in the last ten years they have reduced their pipe tobacco offerings to 7 blends, of which only St Bruno is any good, lol.

Yes, one good thing about living here is that European pipe sellers do not charge VAT, so al pascia, novelli, floppypipe, etc are all good sources.

Welcome to the forum, from Southern California. Are the lyrics of the Gershwin classic really true, that Gibraltar may crumble, and that it's only made of clay? Hopefully not, otherwise you'll need to get on with a plan of insuring your pipes and 'baccy...

I have been mildly obsessed with that place since I was a kid. Not really the place as much as the name. When I was a kid I couldn't stop thinking about how interesting someone would have to be to have a their own rock. Yes I thought Gibraltar was a person.
I think it's limestone actually. Seems sturdy enough. The only thing my pipes have to fear are my dogs, hah.

Interesting. The username is the title of a poem by Phillip Larkin about the sorrows of getting old... the avatar is Max Fritsch,, writer and pipe smoker.
I've been meaning to read more of Philip Larkin's work; my interest stems from Martin Amis (whose work I collect in-depth) and his father, Kingsley Amis, knowing him.
