Hi All,
I’m new pipe smoker in western PA. It’s fair to say so far I’m more of an aromatic smoker, but I’m still trying to find my place. I have really been enjoying Cult Blood Red Moon, Boswell’s Piper’s Pleasure, and Country Squire’s Treasure Island. Looking to try more English blends and always open to suggestions.

I'm wishing you all the best.
Some pipers like to smoke Englishes and Latakias specifically in the winter, but I don't know if it makes a big difference what season you smoke them in or why they feel that way.
I like the smell of aromatics alot myself- is there a particular flavor like rum or cherry that you like?
The advantage of non-Aromatics seems to be appeal in some of their textures. PA for instance is a codger blend that I like in terms of smoothness. As for Englishes I like Standard Mixture, maybe because the Latakia in it doesn't feel as strong for me as in some others, whereas it nonetheless has alot of puffiness like PA.
