Washington state native here. Started thinking this morning about McClelland pipe tobacco blends I can't get anymore. Forgot I had signed up for this site a while ago. Anyway, my grandfather was an avid pipe smoker, primarily burning bourbon flavored tobacco. Maybe that's where I get the itch from. My first experience was cherry flavored tobacco in a rudimentary pipe when I was in my teens. I now own 3 Savinelli pipes, going the Italian route. I may have to pick up a Peterson in the future, though as my great-grandmother was from County Cork Ireland. I really started getting into this niche just before McClelland called it quits, which was a giant bummer. I don't smoke indoors, so I'm eagerly waiting for March to come as the outside temps read 31° today.

Welcome! You're far from alone in being a McClelland's fan. And of course if you're willing to pay the stiff premium and scout around the vintage market, it can be found.
