Welcome from Brooklyn, NY. As you may well have noted, there are more than a few here who know and appreciate early British pipes, and who can, moreover, be extraordinarily generous about sharing their expertise when one is stumped.

Finally joining this forum after many years of using it to inform my pipe and tobacco collecting! I have smoked pipes for a number of years after initially smoking cigars. In terms of tobacco, I was a diehard Dunhill Durbar fan until they stopped production. I have recently been starting to enjoy some of the Lakeland blends. I have a number of pipes (somewhere between 60 and 70 at the last count, many still awaiting restoration) but pride of place is a 1920s Charatan that was virtually unsmoked. I'm particularly fond of the early British pipe makers from around where I live in East London, but have a special place in my heart for Thorburn Clarke pipes. Anyway, thank you all for all your help over the years and I'm glad to finally be a member!
Sounds like you have some interesting pipes! Welcome to the forum!
