Another welcome from Colorado. I have 5 Ferndowns and would never sell any of them. Just effortless smokers. I wish Les was still carving, but everyone deserves their rest after a lifetime of work.

Welcome, it’s always great to have another member here from the UK, to keep us on top of all the great UK tobacco happenings, especially with all the Gawith lovers around here!

I’d really love to learn about all the great old EU codger blends, that you hear nothing about outside the EU, maybe you’ll be able to share about these, if you know.

Have fun here! :)

Thanks! I'm a big fan of Samuel Gawith, but only recently discovering the Gawith Hoggarth blends.

Absolutely, I can definitely recommend St Bruno (my Grandad's go-to smoke), and Condor Ready-Rubbed (in the green packet) is certainly an interesting smoke!

Welcome! Do you have a soft spot for any local footie team?

Please put your location in your Profile, as people are forgetful.
Why: It will save time for others as to where you live when you mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc. In many instances that saves time for those who read your posts, and for you in not having to reply to inquiries. .
How:
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. province, etc.

I'm a Spurs fan (Tottenham for those not in the UK!). I was born in Norwich, but Dad's family were from near Tottenham and Mum's were from around Whitechapel, so in some sense I've returned to my routes. I'm fairly sure that my maternal grandparents went to the same synagogue set up by some of the pipe makers from East London (Bewlay, Charatan, Barling, Saseini etc.).

I will do, thanks for the tips!

I meant to say obscure, lesser known names outside of the EU, not as popular, well known for various reasons, but still good and popular in the EU. Especially blends that have never been exported.

COYS!!! Brilliant choice of clubs! I am hanging on every game till the end, and I will—for now— refrain from expressing my feelings for Arsenal....

A very warm welcome from Sydney, Oz

Like you, I lurked for a couple of years, gleaning info on pipes and tobacco.
Finally after some push from Al aka @ssjones , I signed up and have been enjoying every moment on the Forums since.

Great bunch of friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable folks.
I hope you have an enjoyable time here.
