I had been a cigar and off/on pipe smoker for about 20 years. About 3 years ago, I dug out a Peterson Watson that I bought in Ireland some years back. About 3 years ago I was smoking some Barclay Rex Maravilla sitting enjoying a warm summer's evening. I got hooked. The cigars and accessories have been to distributed to my friends who haven't seen the light. That one Watson has grown into a collection of about 50 with a huge emphasis on Petersons. Studying pipe history, making pipe racks in the shop, and smoking while working on my philosophy. Loving it all!

That’s a whole realm I know nothing about. I do cruise through the listings on smokingpipes.com. They run from classic shapes to really wild free form. Any specific types or makers that you’re collecting. In general how do they smoke? Where are you in Ct?
I really look for makers on Instagram and Etsy, the unsung really. You really get the chance to meet the maker, so to say, and hear the story and inspiration behind the pipe. Mikko at Frost Pipes, Eric Mills and his custom cob work, Tim Beaumont at Poppa Bear Pipes... To name a small few. I'm located just west of Waterbury. How about you? They usually smoke great, but just like every brand there is one that just doesn't do it for me. When that happens I sell it, and I always see the buyer enjoy it. So likely it's just my smoking style?‍♂️
