Welcome, Mike! What pipes and tobaccos are you smoking these days?
I really like the Vauen pipes. I had never used them before. I tried some Brighams. Never again. Too much of a pain in the ass. I have some old Peterson pipes
That smoke great. I generally smoke Capt Black product line but lately trying some of that German Kohlhase & Kopf flavors. This Caribbean Blue they sell is great.

Nice, I was there in December and it was so busy you could barley find a seat and the amount of smoke in the place was crazy! I was the only pipe smoker as well lol.
That is precisely why we plan these meet ups when Yale University is on break. From 11am to noon there were 4 of us, and about that many other patrons. We left around 6pm and it was full then, but not smoky . One of us is a regular there and says that Yale being on break makes a big difference in the crowd.

Do you like the Vauens partially because they are filtered pipes? Seems like filtered pipes are less common here in the US but they also seem to be on the rise.

63 years young and have been on and off pipe smoking since I was 19. This past year really back into it. I forgot how much I like it! I appreciate the articles and posts here. Have a good one!
