I hear you, brother and I actually thought that you were trying to cancel me...obviously I was wrong.

I’m cool with you if you’re cool with me? By the way, my name is Bob. Nice to meet you.
Jeff by the way; I don't take personal offense to anything, never have, frankly, because I have never given a crap what people think of me...and I've lived a very nice peaceful existence because of it. Sorry if you took offense, didn't mean it like that at all. I should put a line at the bottom like @cosmicfolklore has..."Thanks for not being offended today" whenever I say something rotf

I have never ever in my life (nearly 40 years smoking a pipe) actually took out pipe tobacco and set it aside to dry...never...and I'm not alone.
To be honest with you, there are some blends that benefit greatly when left to dry. Sutliff Match Victoria is one of them and WCC Rhythm & Blues is another; but WCC Old Dominion does better as it comes as does anything by Rattray’s (except Marlin Flake...which tastes its best when mummified). I know, I know... pedantic and subjective, but that’s part of the fun, I suppose?

Anyway, like @cosmicfolklore once wrote: “Never tell another cowboy how to saddle his own horse.” (or something along those lines), and I think that’s good advice.

Now Get Off My Lawn!!! (That felt good ?)

Be seein ya round the forum.

Just because anyone that does anything differently and members like you pile on and call them names like idiots, doesn't mean there aren't a lot of us out there that simply don't want to go through the ridicule...me, on the other hand, couldn't give a rats ass what other members (like you) say.
Pile on?? Call you a name? Seems pretty low to call people names, such as an ass.

If you don't care what others say, simply pass on by. It's simple, but not easy for some.

Hello All,

I am just taking up piping and was wondering if someone might have some info to share. I bought the pipe below when I was young and always enjoyed the smell of a tobacco pipe. Thanks in advance for the help.

Well i have to say I am a fellow Ashevillian myself (and good friend of that guy from Nevada). I would be down to warm a bowl and pass along any knowledge that i have. Have you been to B&B tobacconist in town yet? They have a great staff and even a smoking lounge. We should meet up sometime soon.

You can put your location in your Profile—(please!—because people will forget!) That will save questions in the future as to where you live when you later mention local stores, weather, tobacco prices, availability, regulations, location of photos, wildfires, air quality, etc., etc..
Under your avatar, (top right, left most of three symbols) you choose "Account Details", which brings up "My Account". "My Location" is halfway down. Whatever you're comfortable with- town, city, county, state. Just country if you must.
