Hey guys and ladies, I am obviously a new guy here. So I guess a bit about me and my pipe smoking history is inorder. I started smoking pipes about 10 years ago, but due to my lack of knowledge about it I found it a bit awkward. Therefore I have bounced back and forth between pipes and cigars. I like pipe tobacco better and find keeping cigars to be a pain. Ok now to my point I like my pipes and am glad to have found a place to help me to maximize my smoking experience without tons of trial and error.
I have two pipes both briar wood, niether are very expensive. The one I use is only about a $50 pipe. The other is abit more but less enjoyable. I made a pipe out of pipe stone but can't find the stone bowl (I hid it from a drug addict.........I guess I hid it too well). I bought my wife a pipe this past weekend. Its a meerschaum ladies pipe (very elegant and quite, sexy I might add). I would love to know more about tobaccos, and pipes even.
I go to a tobacco and pipe shop in rice village to get my tobacco..... The blends they have in the glass jars, I know nothing about name brands.
When I started it was because I was into cigars but a friend smoked black cavandish and I loved the smell. So I started with the same. Now I smoke a tahiti blend and have a blend called english 101. I do prefer the clean taste of these blends (suggestions on others will be taken).
My pipe that I use regularly had a broken stem so I had to search long and hard to find a match. I found it in a cheap drug store pipe I would also love to find a nicer stem to use as well.
