Hey guys, I am taking my family to Disney World on the 28th. We will be staying off of the property in Kissimmee. Are there any pipe shops that you guys know of that are worth a try? I know about Sosa but I am NOT a cigar guy, not even a little. I noted a Tinderbox in Orlando in the locator, just checking if there are any that aren't in there. Thanks in advance! Also, are taxes on tobacco bad in Florida?

Tobacco taxes in FL are 85%. You are better off buying online and having your order waiting for you upon your return home from vacation. No decent pipe shops near Orlando. Edward's has locations in Tampa and Lakeland. Those are about an hour or so away from Disney.
I hope you and your family enjoy your vacation.

That's all I need to hear! I've sunk enough money into the vacation as is! I'll just be sure to pack a lot of tobacco for the nights when the kids are sleeping and kick back and enjoy what I have.

I went last Jan/Feb and stayed on the grounds. There are a few places to smoke, but I was so busy I didn't bother. Our resort did sell cigars though.
Hope you have a great trip.

Ha! Thanks jah76.... I've been remodeling my Mom's old home place. June and I are gonna move over there and sell this house. I'm doing all the work myself, and I've got no internet over there, but it's to cold to work today.
Hope you have a great trip to Disney dhizzy! Have a great time!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. I think I'm just as excited as my girls! They are 4, 7 and 8 and they are oozing with anticipation. Top, good to see you back Marine! I have been less active myself but hey that's life. Hope the remodel is going well.

My wife and I -- we're Disney Vacation Club members -- just came back from a week at WDW. It was our fifth visit as a couple, and we absolutely love the place.
One thing I'll mention is that there are numerous designated smoking areas in the parks -- and, for the most part, they're well-shaded, with lots of seating. But smoking in any other locations -- including on any Disney transportation (which includes open-air boats) -- is not allowed.
Chances are, though, you really won't want to take the time to smoke a pipe in the parks themselves, since that means you'd be forced to stay in one place for 30-60 minutes. And when you're paying what it costs to visit WDW, it's not really an efficient use of your time. Unless the rest of your family wants to take off and do something you're not interested in while you enjoy a pipe. (But then you'd be missing the pleasure of seeing your kids enjoying the parks.)
Also, not that you asked: If you're planning to eat anything other than fast/casual food in the parks, you should make dinner reservations NOW. Use the "My Disney Experience" app (available on all mobile platforms) to book restaurants, FastPass+, and get wait times for all the attractions. It's a fantastic app that we used constantly -- as did most other people we saw while we were there.
