Yep, since 2000, but I'm originally from Texas, and at the moment I'm visiting family.
It's too bad Funkerhouser is no longer around you would dig him! He was sweet like molasses but a bit dark too...

I never got much hay from PS41. But it's a great blend anyways and certainly worth having on hand.PS 41Cube Cut, he has chocolated sweetness. You can try, maybe you like............

Robert McConnell Scottish CakeI absolutely love the flavors of hay and molasses. Call it the country side of me. What blends do you feel have the most of these flavors? Blends, that is, that do not have molasses as flavorings or casings.
I think just having a life.He left?!? When.... and was there a reason why?
Do you dry your Granger? Or do you just smoke it straight from the tub??Molasses you say? May I make a suggestion?

I prefer its moisture level fresh and I jar it immediately. I have dried it and found no benefit, not even to it’s burn characteristic. It’s a ready-to-smoke OTC.Do you dry your Granger? Or do you just smoke it straight from the tub?
I've been smoking it lately. I've experimented with different levels of moisture but have become content to just smoke it as is. Pretty good stuff.I prefer its moisture level fresh and I jar it immediately. I have dried it and found no benefit, not even to it’s burn characteristic. It’s a ready-to-smoke OTC.
Mine, however, seems to be a minority opinion on this forum— as many here swear that drying Granger somehow transforms it. I don’t find that to be true for me and it’s my all time favorite blend.
Experiment for yourself and enjoy.
You could try Newminster 400. It has an herbal/grassy component, a dark sweetness, and a baked good quality to it. While not exactly molasses per se it makes me think of molasses cookies/gingersnaps/graham crackers when I smoke it.I absolutely love the flavors of hay and molasses. Call it the country side of me. Yeah, #400 is a good one. Now that I’ve tried their #403 though, I’d say it has way more of that going on than the #400, at least to my taste. You could try Newminster 400.
